Lady Gaga will finally be present at the Oscars, but to present an award

Lady Gaga may be absent from the Oscar nominees this year, that does not mean that we will not see her for the high mass of American cinema. The singer and actress, whose performance in House of Gucci had been critically acclaimed (but apparently not as appreciated by her peers), will be among the stars invited to take the stage to present an award.

“We are thrilled to welcome to the Oscars stage the first members of an exceptional cast who will help us celebrate the power of cinema and honor the best works of the year,” said Will Packer, producer of the ceremony, in a press release relayed by Vulture.

Nice cast

Other movie stars who will present awards include Kevin Costner, Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Perez, Chris Rock, and Youn Yuh-jung. But beware, the list does not stop there, and should grow in the coming days, according to the AP agency.

This year, the production has chosen three presenters to launch the evening. Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes will indeed be in charge of hosting the award ceremony, which would take place, as usual, at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Jane Campion’s film The Power of the Dog favorite share, with 12 nominations, closely followed by Dunes, by Denis Villeneuve, who is competing for 10 statuettes. The ceremony will be broadcast live in the United States on the ABC channel, and in France on Canal Plus, on March 27.
