ARMY is celebrating, Suga from bts turns 29 this March 9. The Bangtan rapper has stood out throughout his musical career as a composer, producer and singer. 1) Suga’s real name and the other group he belonged to

Min Yoongi is Suga’s birth name, which is his stage name as a member of the BTS rapline. Another stage name that the rapper took is Agust-D, this nickname is the one he used for his personal Instagram account.

Min Yoongi before being a BigHit trainee and being part of BTS, he was part of an underground rap group called D-Town around 2010. In this group Suga worked as a producer and took the stage name of “Gloss”.

After this experience, he auditioned for Hit It, the BigHit auditions that would lead him to be a trainee and later to be part of Bangtan Sonyeondan.

2) Your charitable work

BTS has not only become famous for its talent but also for its contributions to various non-profit organizations. The members of Bangtan every birthday they usually make substantial donations, which do not presume to make them public but the ARMY sooner or later ends up knowing them.

Suga is no exception, when he turned 25, the idol donated kilos of meat to different orphanages in Korea. The interpreter of Seesaw also made a large contribution of 88 thousand dollars to the Korean Pediatric Cancer Foundation, which was accompanied by a batch of 329 dolls of his character Chooky, the animation that represents him in BT21 merchandising.

3) What would you have liked to do if you were not part of BTS?

Min Yoongi stated in previous interviews that had he not entered as a BigHit trainee or pursued a music career as a producer; he would have chosen to study architecture or interior design. These careers align with Suga’s main interests after music, art, and composition are something he would have liked to pursue if he weren’t an idol.

Yoongi is a rather shy and introverted person. Suga usually takes care of the other members of BTS; his classmates describe him as someone responsible, fun. It is well known that Suga’s shyness can be mistaken for coldness. The rapper often has a hard time opening up and expressing his feelings to others, however; once he meets them he reveals his true personality.

6) Favorite instrument and love of music

Suga previously revealed about the musical history he has with a peculiar instrument, the piano. As a child he began to play it and it was his first contact with music, which prompted him to write and compose songs.
