Julieta Venegas announced the premiere of her new song “Mismo amor”

The Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas offered this Monday a preview of his new single “Mismo amor”, which will be available from March 18 on all digital platforms. The song, which talks about the transformation of a relationship, will be part of the new album by Venegas, who released her latest material seven years ago, “Algo Sucede” (2015).

“I’ve been wanting to share another album for a long time, this is a new stage, and I’m happy to have new music ready to go out and play”the singer said in a statement.

Venegas, who was born in California and grew up in Tijuana, releases this song after the success of “Lo Siento BB:/”, along with Tainy and Bad Bunny in 2021.

The Mexican singer, who now resides in Buenos Aires, Argentina, will begin the “Vernos de nuevo” concert tour, which includes Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, and the United States to perform her classics and new singles.

“Mismo amor” also marks the beginning of a new stage with Altafonte, an independent record company.

“I am starting a very beautiful stage and I am happy to be able to share it with you. A new album is coming, of which I give you a little advance with ‘Mismo amor’, which is produced by an artist I admire a lot, Alex Anwandter (Chilean singer-songwriter).”, Venegas said.

The song will be accompanied by a video filmed by the creators and sisters Anita and Lola Piñero. The lyrics and music are the creation of Venegas, while the Chilean Anwandter is in charge of part of the music and production.

The singer-songwriter has sold 25 million records worldwide, with gold and platinum records in countries such as Mexico, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, Spain and the United States, where she won two Grammys and 10 Latin Grammys.
