“If you told me when I was little that I could live playing video games, I would have laughed”

Technology has become so important in our daily lives that you could not imagine a world without the facilities it provides. Phillip Chu Joy identified that people want to know more about their devices and decided to start making videos to explain it in a simple way to his followers. It is thanks to them that he became the winner of Best Innovative Production and New Formats at the Lights Awards 2021.

The day he received the award, the influencer revealed to Trade his emotion for all the support he has received from his community. “Excited because it has been a full vote and I still can’t believe that, among so many people I admire, I have won. ”said.

Also, Phillip said that his passion for technology began when he was little. He remembers that every time he went to the zoo, he was more interested in knowing the security system of the cages than the animals that were in the place.

“I have always had that fascination with how things work and since I was little I have liked to share news about technology and video games and that has led me to make my job what I liked when I was little and to explore new formats and now that there are so many new technologies , spread information that I feel is a waste not to experience“, he pointed.

The content creator formally started in 2010 and hasn’t stopped since. He entered the TEC program, led by Bruno Pinasco, and there he began to experiment with new formats such as videos and podcasts, even the most current ones such as reels and Tik Tok.

Phillip Chu Joy did not imagine that talking about technology would become so important and allow him to reach more people. “It’s still a bit surreal. I am still the guy who likes to know about the latest news and play the latest video games and comment on his friends, now it is a huge community and I am fascinated that other people like the same as me. I still can’t believe it because I walk down the street and people greet me”he specified.
