The 2022 Oscar Awards are delivered this Sunday, March 27, in a ceremony with many changes. To begin with, the delivery was made earlier than usual and gave technical awards in a non-televised gala, as is usually done at the Grammys.

From the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, the presenters chosen for this edition were the comedians Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer and Regina Hall, who offered an introductory monologue full of black humor and criticism of the lack of diversity of the galas, with special emphasis on the Golden Globes.

But, as is often the case at Oscar ceremonies, the emotional quota was guaranteed by the winners’ speeches. In this note, we will update live some of the most prominent.

Here are some of the most memorable speeches from the 2022 Oscars:

About the ceremony

The 934th Academy Awards ceremony began for the first time this 2022 an hour earlier with a non-televised ceremony in which eight awards were announced, which also included best makeup and hairstyle, for “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”, as well as the honors to short film, animated short film and documentary short film.

The award for best animated short film went to “The Windshield Wiper” by Spaniards Alberto Mielgo (director) and Leo Sánchez (producer). “The Long Goodbye” won best documentary and “The Queen of Basketball” won best documentary short.

But, without a doubt, it was “Dune” (“Duna”) that swept the previous gala: Best Sound, Best Soundtrack, Best Editing, Best Production Design.
