Puerto Rican singer Don Omar Tomorrow he presents his new song “Soy Yo”, in which he collaborates for the first time with the Cuban group Gente de Zona, as well as with one of his musical allies, Wisin.
The song “Soy Yo” is a fusion of urban and tropical rhythms, Saban Music Group, a partnership between the artist and businessman Haim Saban, reported in a statement Wednesday.
“I am enjoying this stage in which I am collaborating with colleagues with whom I had not worked before”said Don Omar about his new single.
The interpreter assured that he feels that the collaboration was like “a meeting of a group of friends” who have “a lot of fun” doing what they are passionate about: music.
“As the poem by Lola Rodríguez de Tió says ‘Cuba and Puerto Rico are two wings of a bird’, and this song demonstrates the incomparable rhythm that we Caribbean people have”, he added.
For his part, Wisin expressed his conviction that this song will be “another success”, while describing Don Omar as “brother”.
Gente de Zona said that they had always wanted to work together with Don Omar: “A great friendship has emerged from this meeting and we know that it will be the first of many. The whole world will be able to enjoy an excellent theme”, the group stressed.
