Mario Chumpitazi presents his exhibition “Fantastic Horsemen” at the ImaginArte gallery

The artist from Trujillo Mario Chumpitazi inaugurated his exhibition of art “Fantastic Riders”, with which you enter a world inhabited by fantasy beings that denote hurry, desperation and the need to breathe.

The exhibition can be visited free of charge at the ImaginArte Gallery of the Zegarra Clinic from April 22 to May 14, from 10 am to 6 pm “Painting represents a kind of liberation for me”said the artist in a press release.

The exhibition “Fantastic Horsemen” makes the spirit wander through enchanted spaces, allowing the viewer to encounter surprising forms and characters. Likewise, Mario Chumpitazi intends to forge images of apparently unreal worlds made with colors that collide with each other and figures marked by a kind of exoticism, which come from the search for illusion inherent in the creator.

“They are a kind of ghostly horsemen, riding towards missions that they themselves are unaware of (…) I was inspired by the difficult times we are going through. Although they are fantasy beings, they are quite ‘alive’ characters that denote urgency, desperation, the need to breathe. They are a kind of ghostly riders, riding on quests unknown to themselves. No one knows what awaits them, what world they are facing or if they will be able to fulfill their mission “commented.

Mario Chumpitazi’s paintings have been exhibited nationally and depict figurative forms as if revolving around fantasy. It should be noted that the exhibition “Fantastic Horsemen” had to be rescheduled due to the pandemic in 2020.
