“Queens without a crown”: Peruvian film recorded scenes in Mexico with foreign artists

The Peruvian filmqueens without crown” is in the middle of the recording stage and part of the cast traveled to Mexico to shoot some of the scenes, along with prominent figures from that country.

Katia Salazar, Alexandra Graña, Claudio Calmet, Rossana Fernández Maldonado, Edith Tapia and Elena Romero, along with director Gino Tassara and director of photography Alonzo Ordaya, spent ten days in Mexico recording the scenes.

The Peruvian film has a powerful message against violence against women, a social problem that not only affects Peru. In this regard, Tassara pointed out that with the film she seeks to raise awareness against the scourge of abuse of women.

“It has been a great experience recording on location in Mexico, I have been delighted with the talent and professionalism of the Mexican actors, we have recorded without setbacks and I am sure that this film will cause a stir in the cinema and in public opinion”noted director Gino Tassara.

Previously, the production of Sinargollas Producciones had the opportunity to record in beautiful tourist areas of the district of La Punta (Callao).

The film is based on real events and narrates the many cases of femicide and aggression against women in our country. The script is inspired by the play of the same name, winner of a prize awarded by the Canadian Embassy in Peru in 2017; the central theme is the fight for the elimination of violence against women.

It should be noted that “Queens without a crown” is directed by the journalist and director Gino Tassara, under the production of Edith Tapia. In addition, its protagonists are Claudio Calmet, Alexandra Graña and Francisca Aronsson.
