Lady Gaga is in talks to play Harley Quinn in the ‘Joker’ sequel

Following Joker should be very different from the first opus. In any case, this is what Deadline suggested. Entitled Joker: Madness for Two, the film is apparently envisaged by Warner as a musical. And to play opposite Joaquin Phoenix, who is reprising his role as director Todd Philips announced recently, the studio plans to recruit a superstar: Lady Gaga.

The interpreter of Poker face would have started negotiations to play Harley Quinn, the “Fiancée of the Joker”. Nothing is official for the moment, but the studio is doing everything to reproduce the cardboard of the first film (and its billion dollars at the box office). A singer and actress of the caliber of Lady Gaga would have it both ways!

Two characters

Obviously, there is already a Harley Quinn in the cinema, embodied by Margot Robbie in the two films Suicide Squad as well as in Birds of Prey. However, for Warner, these are two separate incarnations, in different universes (since the DCU is now officially a “multiverse”).

Little other information has filtered for the moment, even if we know that Todd Philips, the director of the first opus, will return behind the camera. He also co-wrote the script for the second film with his Joker sidekick, Scott Silver. No release date has yet been announced.
