Britney Spears’ lawyer accuses former managers of contributing to her conservatorship to enrich themselves

Who benefited from the crime? In the case of the guardianship of Britney Spears, and according to the singer’s lawyer, it is on the side of Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group that we must look. Mathew Rosengart, who leads a crusade on behalf of his client against all groups or individuals who used the popstar’s name to enrich themselves during his guardianship, returned to the charge with new allegations, revealed by variety and the HollywoodReporter.

Court documents filed by the lawyer claim that the managers of Britney Spears, who officiated between 2008 and 2020, were directly involved in the creation of the guardianship procedure, and that this decision had them, directly or indirect, brought in no less than $18 million.

Unclear role

Mathew Rosengart also claims that it is thanks to the support of Jamie Spears, the artist’s father, that Tri Star has grown rich.

“Tri Star, Lou Taylor and Robin Greenhill have all denied that Tri Star had any involvement in creating the conservatorship. Tri Star claimed at the time “At the time the conservatorship was established by this court in early 2008, Tri Star had no role in Ms. Spears’ affairs”. But these denials by Tri Star and its representatives are false. Tri Star received over $18 million from this trusteeship it helped create,” the documents read.

Tri Star, for its part, denies in block the allegations of the camp of Britney Spears. “As all the evidence clearly shows, the conservatorship was put in place on the recommendation of legal counsel, not Tri Star, and approved by the Court for over 12 years. In fact, Tri Star wasn’t even the guardianship affairs manager when it was established. Random email snippets can’t change the facts, which is why this nonsense will end once and for all when the documents are unsealed,” says Scott Edelman, attorney for the stars’ management company.
