Los Mirlos are confirmed at “Vive Latino” on a bill with Red Hot Chili Peppers, UB40 and more

The Amazonian cumbia group the blackbirds was confirmed as part of the poster of the festival “Vive Latino 2023”. In this way, the national group, which is about to turn 50, adds a new achievement to its career by participating in this international event, which will also be attended by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, UB40, Carla Morrison and more.

Through their social networks, the organizers of the event announced the great list of artists that will perform at the musical event that will take place on Saturday, March 18 and Sunday, March 19 of next year, at the Foro Sol in Mexico City.

In this new edition of “Vive Latino” the presence of the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers stands out. In addition, there will be Plastilina Mosh, Miranda, Café Tacuba, Elsa and Mar, Los Bunkers, Caligaris, Austin TV, Kinky, Bándalos Chinos, Carla Morrison, Enjambre, Monsieur Periné, The Black Crowes, De Saloon, Kinky, Las Ligas Menores, Leonardo by Lozanne, UB40, León Larregui, Lila Downs, 2 Minutos, Los Pericos, among other acquaintances from the music scene.

It should be remembered that last year, the international festival brought together more than 50,000 people on each night that the musical festival was held, considered one of the most important international events.

Los Mirlos are the only Peruvian musicians summoned on this occasion and they will make the public from all over the world dance to the rhythm of their hits “Eres mentirosa”, “Amazon sound”, “Lamento en la selva”, “La Danza de Los Mirlos” among others. much others.

On the other hand, Los Mirlos also continue to carry their history and their music through the documentary “La Danza de Los Mirlos” by Álvaro Luque, which was recently premiered at the Lima Film Festival. Now it has just won the award for Best Documentary Feature Film at the Trujillo Fecit 2022 Film Festival where it was rated as “a historical and sociocultural document of an original Peruvian musical expression from a usually marginalized sector of the country”. Then the documentary will be presented at festivals in Barcelona, ​​Mar de Plata and Arica.
