“Black Adam”, the new DC Comics tape, premiered in theaters in Peru

The new DC Comics Extended Universe movie, “Black Adam”, premiered last Thursday, October 20 in theaters in Peru. Starring American actor Dwayne Johnsonthis new film would seek to mark the “beginning of a new stage” in the superhero genre.

The antihero Black Adam begins the film confused to find that Kahndaq, the ancient civilization in which he grew up, is a modern metropolis that he does not recognize. After being locked up for thousands of years, he is finally released from prison. Thus, he must adapt to the new world where his aggressiveness and way of dispensing justice will collide with that of the Justice Society of America, a group of superheroes who will try to stop him.

“’Black Adam’ represents a new era in the DC universe, with new settings and characters that are complex and diverse in terms of representation”Johnson stated during an interview with EFE. Also, he clarified that “what I like the most about Black Adam is that he will do anything to protect his people, his country and his family”.

A few hours after its premiere, the film “Black Adam” directed by the Spanish Jaume Collet-Serra has divided the opinions of specialized critics. On the Rotten Tomatoes page, the DC Comics tape has a 43% approval rating.

Despite the fact that there is no official announcement, “Black Adam”, belonging to Warner Bros., would arrive on the HBO Max streaming platform between 60 to 70 days after its premiere in theaters; just as it happened with “DC League of Super-Pets” and “Elvis”.

It should be remembered that Dwayne Johnson is accompanied by Sarah Shahi, Noah Centineo, Pierce Brosnan, Henry Cavill, Quintessa Swindell, Jennifer Holland, Aldis Hodge and Viola Davis. “For me he is a true leader.
