“Killer Women”: release date and confirmed cast of the new version of the successful series

“Mujeres Assasinas”, the Argentine format that gained international fame for its successful combination of fiction and reality to tell true cases of homicides perpetrated by women, will have a new season in Mexico. The streaming platform VIX+, owned by TelevisaUnivision, announced its next premiere with a cast of well-known figures led by the Oscar nominee Yalitza Aparicio.

The new season of “Female Assassins” will premiere on November 4. In addition to the Oaxacan, famous for her leading role in “Roma”, the Mexicans Sara Maldonado (from “Storm in paradise”), Macarena García Romero (from “Control Z” and “100 days to fall in love”), Claudia Martín (from “The rich also cry”), Nicole Curiel (from “The paths of love”), Barbie Casillas (from “False identity”), the Colombian Catherine Siachoque (from “Without breasts there is no paradise”) and the Spanish Jedet (from “Poison”).

about the format

“Mujeres Assassasins” is based on the same name of the book by Argentinian Marisa Grinstein. Pol-ka Producciones made the first adaptation in 2005, through the El Trece signal it became one of the most popular fictions in the South American country, which later led to adaptations in Colombia, Ecuador, Italy and Mexico.

The first season of the Mexican version premiered in 2008 and featured performances by Iran Castillo, Lucía Méndez, Itatí Cantoral, Daniela Romo and Verónica Castro. The second season had Edith González, Angélica Vale, Angelique Boyer and Carmen Salinas. The third season, released in 2010 by Televisa, featured Dulce María, Belinda, Aislinn Derbez, among others.
