Cinderella”, one of the most beloved Disney princesses, arrives in Peruvian cinemas in a new version that promises to captivate the public from this November 17. This adaptation brought by Star Films stars pop star Astrid Smeplass, who rose to fame after her participation in the reality show Pop Idol and was awarded a Norwegian Grammy for Artist of the Year.

The new story will show an independent Cinderella with a brave heart who believes in herself. Set in the beautiful, bucolic and idyllic Nordic landscapes, this film was directed by Cecilie Mosli and made by the same production company that participated in projects such as “Black Panther”, “Star Trek”, “Morbius”, among others.

About her character, Astrid Smeplass told the international press that she was excited about the new version of the fairy tale and hopes that the message of the film reaches the whole world. “I hope that we reach a wide female audience, that they feel reflected with the character and know that they can be as brave and strong as Cinderella,” said the Norwegian actress.

The cast is made up of actors Cengiz Al (The Prince), Ellen Dorrit (The Stepmother) Ingrid Glæver (Dora), and “Games of Thrones” actor Kristoffer Hivju (The Hunter).

Synopsis

Since the death of her father, the good-natured but also brave Cinderella lives with her cruel stepmother and bratty stepsister, who treat her like a servant in their own home. During one of her daily escapades to the forest, Cinderella prevents a couple of men from hunting wild animals, including the handsome prince of the kingdom, in this encounter they are immediately attracted to each other, but it is hoped that he will get a suitable bride. at the next royal ball, which Cinderella is unable to attend. Endowed with a great dose of courage, Cinderella decides to fight for her dream of freedom. This film portrays how self-love is the strength we need to fight for our dreams even when we are in love.
