Festivals and nightclubs are more than ready to get you dancing this summer

Summer season rhymes with festivals. On June 21, the Minister of Culture, Roselyne Bachelot announced the resumption of concerts with the public standing since Wednesday, with a gauge of 75% in indoor establishments, and 100% outdoors. The health pass (full vaccination or negative Covid-19 test) will only be required for more than 1,000 expected spectators. As for the discotheques, they will be able to reopen next Friday with the same tonnage conditions and the compulsory health pass. The masks remain optional even if the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes seems to be preparing an obligation to wear it to avoid a fourth wave due to the Delta variant. With all this information, here is a non-exhaustive list of places to jiggle in the best conditions.

Nightclubs

To dance the night away from July 9, several nightclubs in Nice open their doors to you. This is the case, for example, of the High Club, which will open at 12:01 am, with the focus on students. Admission will be free with the health pass of course.

The Palace Club also stands ready for this long-awaited reopening. The establishment had to close after a month of opening because of the confinement. From midnight, the club announces “an extraordinary return”, after “482 days of closure, 482 without seeing your smiles, your cries”.

On the Cannes side, the Bisous Bisous, the Gotha but also the Club 7 are preparing this reopening with the constraints of the pass and the gauge.

Festivals

“We adapted very quickly despite announcements that came a little late,” said Teo Saavedra, organizer of the Nuits du Sud de Vence. For this particular edition which begins next Thursday, “standing and seated places will be available”. He explains: “Everything will depend on the evenings, depending on the atmosphere, it will perhaps be between 700 and 1,000 people seated and 1,500 standing”. The organizer has chosen to maintain its gauge at 2,500 spectators. Festival-goers will therefore be subject to the health pass but wearing a mask will not be compulsory… unless the prefecture decides. For him, “it is not the same experience to live a concert in these conditions but we must be responsible. It’s already great to be able to do musical events, we all needed that ”. The organizer “is ready” and indicates that there are still places available for all concerts. See you from July 8 to 18.

In Cannes, the Electronic Beaches have also been reinvented for this 2021 edition and become the Villa Plage. They will take place over four evenings from August 5 in the gardens of Villa Rothschild. The organizers have planned everything to take advantage of the concerts “in an unprecedented seating configuration” with “poufs, deckchairs and cushions” which will be made available as well as “low tables to be able to eat picnic style, with your feet in the grass. “.

For the Nice Jazz Festival which takes place from July 12 to 17, the conditions remain the same, with an audience “100% seated but with a sanitary pass”, specifies the town hall. In Juans-les-Pins, the number of places has increased by more than 1,200 places but still seated with masks and sanitary passes. Depending on the sanitary conditions, “the provisions could be brought to evolve”, warns the Jazz festival which celebrates its 60 years from July 9 to 20.
