Madonna sells out tickets for her show in Lisbon and opens the second date

Singer Madonna has announced a second date to perform in Lisbon, on November 7, after selling out the tickets for the concert scheduled for the day before in less than a week.

“Due to the speed with which tickets for the concert on November 6 sold out and the high demand that is still felt, Madonna today announces a second and final date on November 7”, The Portuguese music producer Ritmos e Blues reported this Monday in a statement.

Both concerts, part of the world tour “Madonna, The Celebration Tour”, will take place at the Altice Arena, located in the Parque de las Naciones.

Tickets will be on sale this Friday, although pre-sale will be activated on Wednesday for members of their official fan clubs.

The tour will begin on July 15 in Vancouver (Canada) and will conclude on December 2 in Amsterdam (Netherlands) after more than thirty concerts in which the “queen of pop” will review her four decades of career and will pay homage to New York City. During the tour she will be accompanied by Bob the Drag, also known as Caldwell Tidicu.

Madonna lived in Lisbon between 2017 and 2019 while one of her sons played for a Portuguese Benfica youth football team. The singer confessed to a “fall in love” with the city, which strongly influenced “Madame X”, peppered with Portuguese guitars and Cape Verdean rhythms.

With his arrival, a small commotion broke out in the Portuguese capital -unaccustomed to having international stars as neighbors- which was followed by various controversies, such as the alleged favored treatment received to obtain a residence permit and other suspicious facilities related to his home. .

At the beginning of 2020, he gave a series of six concerts in Lisbon as part of his “Madame X Tour”, with sold-out tickets.
