Manuel Turizo celebrates the release of his new album “2000”

Colombian singer Manuel Turizo This Friday he released his long-awaited third album, “2000”, from which several songs that reached the top of the world music charts, such as “La Bachata” or “El Merengue”, have already seen the light of day.

Turizo, who achieved fame at just 16 years old with the song “Una lady como tú” and who is in the midst of the highest peak of his artistic career, presents 15 original songs with the La Industria INC record label that are already on Available on all digital platforms.

“2000″ is an album loaded with the essence of the Colombian, so much so that many of the songs were written between Turizo and other artists such as Slow Mike, Jorge Emiliano, Nico Cotton, Edgar Barrera, his brother Julián Turizo and more.

The Colombian’s followers will be able to discover songs like “Sad”, Latin pop that flirts with R&B and “Jamaica”, an urban-Caribbean melody made in collaboration with the Colombian Beéle, according to his record company, Sony.

His new work also includes “Éxtasis”, a romantic song full of energy that has the collaboration of “la nena de Argentina”, María Becerra, and which took over Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, reaching number 8.

Turizo comes from achieving success with his two songs “La Bachata” and “El Merengue”, a reinterpretation of the classic Latin rhythms adapted to the current sounds that sound at the top of the charts on music platforms. In fact, the first was one of the most listened to internationally in the last year.

This tropical song was a trend for months on YouTube, with more than 403 million views; it stayed at number 1 for 10 weeks on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart; it reached position 1 on Billboard’s Latin Ariplay chart, and was in Spotify’s Top 50 for 31 weeks.

For its part, “El Merengue”, in collaboration with the DJ and producer Marshmello, is also part of “2000”.
