“Spider-man: Through the Spiderverse” presents its new and epic trailer

The movie “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”, sequel to the Oscar-winning “Spider-Man: A New Universe,” released an epic new trailer shortly after it hit theaters. To increase the hype of the fans, the trailer shows several generations of ‘Spider-Men’ and many references to the multiverse.

In this film you can see that Brooklyn in its entirety is taken to the Spider-verse and Miles Morales will be in charge of solving this, of course, with the help of the other Spider-Man. However, there comes a time when the young Spider-Man must make an important decision that would redefine his future.

The sneak peek also shows impressive nods to the Marvel multiverse. There’s a moment where Spider-Man 2099 says: “And don’t get me started on Doctor Strange and the little nerd from Earth-19999.”

This would be a very clear and explicit reference to the world in which the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies produced by Disney take place, a land similar to ours (the traditional Marvel 616), but with slight differences. In addition, the mention of Doctor Strange and the events of “No Way Home” also opens up endless possibilities.

As if that were not enough, at the end of the trailer, Sony makes a striking and funny nod to the meme where three Spider-Men point at each other, but this time, there are hundreds of Spider-Man doing it. It should be noted that we had already seen this reference in “Spider-Man: No Way Home”.

The cast continues to include Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman, and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man; and Issa Rae as Jessica Drew / Spider-Woman, Daniel Kaluuya as Hobart “Hobie” Brown / Spider-Punk, and Jason Schwartzman as Jonathan Ohnn / The Spot, among others.

“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, from a script written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Dave Callaham. Its premiere is scheduled for June 1 of this year.
