Gianella Neyra produces her second film: the sacrifices and obstacles she faced, Diego Bertie and more

Before Gustavo accepted, we received several ‘no’s. But we had millions of alternative plans because we were determined to make the project so that people know the story and enjoy it. After hard work, a lot of sacrifice and several days without sleep, it was possible. And the three of us are very happy with the result”, he emphasizes.

“Single, married, widow and divorced” tells the story of the reunion of four childhood friends: a single woman, Lorena, (Milene Vázquez); a married woman, Daniela, (Patricia Portocarrero); a widow, Cecilia, (Gianella) and a divorcee (Katia Condos).

“The first part of the film was recorded there, it was a very nice experience that led us to have an incredible complicity”

When my character’s husband dies, these friends reappear and organize a road trip to Pacasmayo, a place where they vacationed when they were chibolas. The first part of the film was recorded there, it was a very nice experience that led us to have an incredible complicity. It is a complex role because while her friends have fun, she has to contain herself, because she is in a different situation.”, Neyra refers. “Along the way, they will all try to give themselves a second chance to heal wounds, overcome fears and accept themselves.“, Add.

This is the second film produced and the actress of “Sunflowers for Lucia” also stars. The first was “Half Sisters”. “I hope that all this movement that is being generated reaches a good place, because we have plenty of talent, stories to tell and beautiful natural places to show. We just need support to keep growing, moving forward and turning the wheel”.

Likewise, it clarifies that the story written by Alva Helfer and her sister, Sandra Percich, is not inspired by the experiences of the protagonists of “Mujeres de la PM”, a program that she leads together with Katia Condos, Almendra Gomelsky and Rebeca Escribns.

“I do not intend to stop acting because it is my vocation”

The first time I read the story, I thought it was us, traveling and sharing. In fact, those who see the film will also see themselves reflected with their friends. ”, he points out.

A week after the premiere of the film whose scenes were recorded in July 2022, Gianella says she feels tired, but satisfied and happy, so she hopes to continue producing and acting at the same time.

“I am not going to stop acting because it is my vocation. Producing seems beautiful to me because it gives you the opportunity to open paths, take charge of what you want to tell and how you want to tell it. Obviously there are millions of things I have to learn, but I would like to continue on this path, creating more spaces”he emphasizes.

diego forever

“Single, married, widow, divorced” was the last film made by the well-remembered actor Diego Bertie. He played Leonardo, a relaxed man with hippie influences, ex-partner of the character played by Katia Condos.

His departure was a very hard blow because he was a friend of many of us. At that time we were living the last days of filming, he had already finished recording his scenes. He had a hard time overcoming us. His character is beautiful, full of light, he always says beautiful, important, moving things. Seeing him in the movie will be a beautiful way to remember him, doing what he loved and what he was.”, nods the actress.

sacrifices

To embark on this new path, Gianella had to give up projects that also excited her, such as hosting “Arriba mi gente”, a program from which she said a tearful goodbye at the beginning of 2023.

I wanted to dedicate a little more time to this new stage of my life, as a producer and actress, and in fact, a daily program is exhausting. I still keep in touch with everyone, we became very good friends, I have very good memories of that program. It was very difficult to leave him. But I can’t say that I’m away from TV either because I’m still with ‘Mujeres de la PM‘”, he emphasizes.

I no longer want to sit waiting for someone to call me, I want to take charge of my own stories. I am in a more conscious stage of my life, more rational. I don’t know if everything I’ve set out to do will come true, but I’m sure I have to try. So far it’s working. I want to make stories that move people’s emotions, wake them up, lift them from their place. That’s what I want to do all my life”, he emphasizes.
