After the success obtained with “Let me tell you” and “Todos vuelven”, the Cultural Association Prelude presents his new bet “I was born to love you, the musical”, which will have a season from May 11 to June 25 at the Municipal Theater of Lima. The pre-sale of tickets is enabled from April 5 on Teleticket.
Written by Mateo Chiarella, co-directed by Juan Pablo Lostannau and Tommy Párraga, and under the general production of Denisse Dibós, the musical will feature a cast of more than 25 artists, led by Paul Martin, Cielo Torres, Sandra Muente and Miguel Alvarez, among others.
“As a cultural association we have a strong commitment to art and the power it has to transform us. Through musical theater, we want to give viewers the look of a country that seeks to vindicate its mistakes, assume its problems and distance itself from corruption, inequality and intolerance”said Denisse Dibós, founder and director of Preludio.
The plot of this musical is developed through three stories in different decades, 60′s, 80′s and 2000; and which are located in fictitious towns in the three regions of our country: one in a coastal hacienda, another in a community in the Peruvian Andes and the third a smiling town in the Peruvian jungle. The betrayal, misuse of power and greed represented by the “Thousand Faces” (Paul Martin), leads the protagonists of the play to fight against everything that separates us without losing the hope that characterizes Peruvians.
This new musical includes hits like “Matarina”, “Oita No Má”, “Triciclo Perú” or “Mujer Hilandera”, among other Afro-Peruvian, Andean and Amazonian rhythms. In addition to Paul Martin, Cielo Torres, Sandra Muente and Miguel Álvarez, the cast is made up of Miluska Eskenazi, Alejandro Villagomez, Mónica Dueñas, Raúl Romero, Alfredo Valente, Sebastián Ramos, Bertha Bohórquez and the return to the stage of Hugo Salazar, together with an outstanding group of dancers, singers and ‘passionate’.
