A farce about current delusions: “Harakiri” will be presented at the Lima Theater Club

Kenya Nakamura has decided to end her life through an ancient ritual: harakiri. Juan Castillo runs into him by chance and tries to prevent him from carrying out his death, but he is unsuccessful. From that moment on, Juan’s life will become a tremendous mess from which it will be very difficult to get rid of. That is the story told in “Harakiri”, a staging that will be staged at the Club de Theater from Lima from this Saturday.

The production is in charge of Telón Mestizo, where the director Víctor Lucana, actor, theater teacher; Flor Rivera, as head of production; and the actress and communicator Carla Balvín in directing assistance. The cast is made up of Misael Acho, Miguel Villanueva, Gisela Oncoy, Ángel Arakaki, Ronald Tapia and Jerica Villafuerte.

Putting together this play, written by the renowned playwright Sergio Arrau, responds to the need to show how a society is delirious when trying to find guilty parties. It is, finally, a montage that shows characters who are complicit in injustice through farce and comedy.

The performances are scheduled for April 22, 23, 29 and 30, at 7 pm at the Lima Theater Club (Av. 28 de Julio 183, Miraflores). Ticket at Atrapalo.pe (S/30, general; and S/25, students and retirees).
