Chencho Corleone releases a song from his first solo album after 20 years with Plan B

Puerto Rican reggaeton veteran chencho corleone premiered this Thursday the song “Un cigarreto”, the first single from what will be his first solo record production after some 20 years as a member of the duo of Plan B.

Corleone has also just signed a global agreement with the Sony Music Latin label to work in new markets and continue to bring to the world its distinctive musical proposal, which in turn has evolved and adapted to the times, according to their representatives in a press release from press.

“I’m pleased with what we’ve been creating, with what’s coming up. And I am sure that my fans are going to live this new musical stage and it will add another step to my career”, Chencho Corleone expressed in the note.

The song “Un Cigarette” also includes a music video directed by Jessy Terrero, who was in charge of visually recreating the story of the song with a cinematographic style.

“I had the opportunity to sit down with the production and work team to create a visual concept that will project and mark the new path only at this beginning,” concluded Chencho, a former member of the Plan B duo along with Maldy.

Chencho and Maldy formed in the early 2000s one of the strongest and most explosive duos in reggaeton.

Some of the successful songs that the duo managed to penetrate deeply into the youth of that time were “Frikitona” and “Guatauba” -included on the album “Guautauba XXX”- and others that were part of the album “House of Pleasure” (2010). .

The duo fought at that time for the throne of best duet against Wisin and YandelHector and TitoJowell and Randyamong others.

However, it has been more than three years since the Plan B duo decided to distance themselves, although not separate, as Maldy preferred to describe to EFE in a past interview.

“It was a decision of each one to take their course. Our fans asking if we are fighting, if there is no Plan B. I do not consider the word separated, because we have not separated. Yes, we have taken some time for each one to take their space and make their career as a soloist, ”he explained.

Thus, Maldy took advantage of the moment to release his first solo album, “Sicalipsis”, which he released at the end of 2019 and had the collaboration of renowned reggaeton artists such as Nio García, Brray, Yomo, Kevin Roldán, J Álvarez, Alberto Stylee, Jory Boy, among others.
