Residente, Calamaro, Juanes and Damian Marley headline the Cordillera de Bogotá Festival

Resident, Andres Calamaro, Juanes and Damian Marley, icons of Latin American music, are in charge of leading the second edition of the Cordillera Festival that will take place in the Simón Bolívar park in the Colombian capital on September 23 and 24.

“Today we know the legends and myths of our sounds that will come together in two days of celebration”, the organizers Ocesa Colombia and Páramo Presenta said in a statement this Wednesday, revealing some of the musical expressions of the festival: cumbia, rock in Spanish, rap, trap, reggae and more.

“There will be thousands of hearts that will dance with the hymns that have shaped us, that have given us hope and have questioned us,” said the organizers, who highlighted that songs like “Loco”, “Latinoamérica” ​​and “La camisa negra” will sound in the Cordillera.

In addition, the Latin American sounds will be joined by other Spanish groups such as Vetusta Morla, the rapper Nach or Dorian.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

On this occasion, the information added, “the commitment to sustainability of the Cordillera Festival is a reality”, since it returns in this second edition after its predecessor transformed the Simón Bolívar park into “the first carbon neutral park in Latin America”. .

For this, it was verified that the scenario was “complying with all the measures so that the carbon generated inside (…) is neutralized with the compensation that is made from different actions such as solid waste management,” said the director of the District Institute of Recreation and Sports (IDRD), Blanca Durán, in 2022.

Likewise, a campaign was launched in which for each transaction carried out, a native tree was planted in the Cuchillas páramo in Cundinamarca (center), with which 19,395 trees were planted, including species such as the frailejón, the raque, the totumo , the seven leathers or the ají de páramo, among others.
