Donnie Yaipén premiered “False Promises”, a song that marks his solo debut

After more than 20 years, Donie Yaipen He decided to leave the Hermanos Yaipén orchestra to start a new musical adventure as a soloist. Now, the national artist has just released his debut song “False promises”, which comes accompanied by a striking video clip.

The theme is his own song that, according to the singer’s own words, was born approximately 12 years ago. Although it does not tell his personal story, it does tell the experience of someone he knew in his youth.

“It is a story with which I think many will feel identified, since it is likely that we all have an ex who has promised us many things and in the end did not comply”the singer said through a statement.

As if that were not enough, the song is accompanied by a video clip recorded in Monsefú, Chiclayo, the land where Donnie was born. In the clip, the cumbia singer decided to show the most representative places in northern Peru, with the Convent of San Agustín de Zaña and the Old Train of Pierto Eten as settings.
