Mirella Carbone presents her proposal “Mitá | Mita” for a short season

Mirella Carbone, renowned dancer, choreographer, director and research teacher of contemporary dance announced the premiere of her proposal “Mita | Mita”a collective creation of reflection through the body on gender violence and its different forms of expression.

This co-creation by Mirella Carbone and Pamela Santana will be presented at the ICPNA from the Center of Lima on Friday the 23rd, Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th of June. Admission is completely free with prior registration.

With the participation of 11 artists from different disciplines, they will work on issues related to the body, performance, diversity and gender violence, and they will try to answer the question: How to reconcile our differences and how to approach our diversity?

“In this edition, an open application was launched. After selecting the 11 members who accompany us in this edition, a process of exploration laboratory begins on freedom, self-knowledge and recognition of the other and their views, awareness, contact and integration of a diverse human group, which embodies a plurality of bodies, identities and affects”. explained the producers through a statement.

Winner of the Annual Competition of Creation Projects CAP de Creación PUCP 2022, ‘Mitá| Mitá’ had as its starting point the basic idea of ​​converting what separates or differentiates us into an opportunity to meet.

The staging seeks to promote positive recognition of diversity, democratic, fair and healthy coexistence inside and outside the university campus and in our daily relationships.
