The Palau de les Arts, located in the Spanish city of Valencia, will host the gala in which the organization of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants will announce the list of the 50 best restaurants in the world of 2023, commanded since last year by the Danish Geranium.

The Peruvian restaurant Central was ranked in second place in 2022 and it is expected, as happened with Geranium in 2021 that went to the top of the list the following year, to be chosen as the best of the respected list.

Central, by chefs Pía León and Virgilio Martínez, first entered the list in 20213. The restaurant has been operating in Lima since 2008 and is currently one of the most respected internationally. In addition, its chefs have other gastronomic projects of the same magnitude: in Cusco they have opened Mil Centro, which is on the list of the 50 best in Latin America, and Kjolle, which in 2022 was chosen among the 100 best restaurants in the world.

The list of the 50 best restaurants in the world is drawn up with the vote of 1,080 experts in the gastronomic field in 27 regions of the world.
