Edgar Randy Acosta Cruz, or simply Rxnde Akozta, is one of the main rappers Cuban, an artist who represents the movement on the island. Thanks to his ability to tell stories and reflect the reality of his country and the continent, he became a benchmark for hip-hop.
He is on tour and this July 2 he will perform at the Yield Bar in downtown Lima. The event is to celebrate his 50th year in hip-hop. Leo Loyola, producer in charge of this experience, has confirmed that there are still some tickets available at Joinnus.
Along with Rxnde, other references such as Norick, El Dedos, MSECO, Artymaña, Namazte, among others, will be present at this celebration.
Rxnde Akozta comes from Havana. As a child he listened to Vico C a lot and he always wanted to tell what was happening around him. That is why he was clear that his thing would be to rap and bring a message to the world.
“I live what I write because I write what I see. And when the heart sings, it is not necessary to study music theory. My rap is something personal. Rapping is therapy. That is my time to be free. When I’m rapping is when I’m most sincere, when I’m most me. It is a way of expressing yourself however you want. I speak what I feel as I feel. Period, ”she said in an interview with the newspaper“ Las Américas ”from Spain.
