Amaia Montero, ex-vocalist of La Oreja de Van Gogh, underwent surgery in a hospital in Madrid

Amaia Montero, former vocalist of ‘La oreja de Van Gogh’, is admitted to a hospital in Madrid after undergoing surgery on one hand. According to the Spanish program ‘Espejo Público’, the artist was intervened and remained 10 days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Beata Maria Ana Hospital.

At the moment, the causes that would have caused the hand injury, which forced her to undergo an operation, are unknown. Likewise, the aforementioned medium reported that the singer had already left the ICU after spending difficult days, since the postoperative period would have been complicated because she did not comply with the medical recommendations they gave her.

Following this news, neither the family nor those closest to Amaia have provided statements on the singer’s state of health after this surgical intervention.

It is worth mentioning that it is not the first time that the singer worries her fans due to her state of health. Well, at the end of 2022 Montero published a photograph of her on her Instagram account in which she looked sad.

This image was accompanied by a phrase where he highlighted that he was going through a bad time. “If hope is the last thing to die and I haven’t lost it yet, what good is life to me?” she wrote.
