Ebelin Ortiz returns to the theater with the musical “El ocaso de una estrella”

After a successful 2022 season, the musical “El ocaso de una estrella”, starring ebelin ortiz, return to the stage. The staging directed by Mateo Chiarella and the production by Carlos Arana will have only four performances at the British Theater in Miraflores.

The play will be presented on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in a double performance at 4:30 pm and 8 pm; and on Sunday, August 27, 2023, also in two performances at 4:30 pm and 7 pm Tickets are on sale at Joinnus and at the theater box office.

“El ocaso de una estrella”, with piano and live voice, had a successful season at the Teatro Ricardo Blume, in Jesús María, in 2022; and at the Theater Festival of the Antenor Orrego Private University (UPAO), in Trujillo-La Libertad, in 2023, where there were more than a thousand spectators in one night of performance.

The theatrical piece, written by the playwright Lanie Robertson, is a recreation of what would have been the last concert of the famous jazz singer Billie Holiday who, through fourteen songs, tells us about the difficult situation she was going through at that time, almost the last of its existence.

“The sunset of a star” is a co-production of Aranwa Teatro and Carlos Arana. Francisco Haya de La Torre also performs. Tickets are on sale through Joinnus.
