Lima Film Festival: Peruvian films that were going to be able to be seen on streaming are withdrawn

More than 130 feature films are part of the program on 27 Lima Film Festivalwhich will take place from August 10 to 18.

Once the pandemic has been overcome, the event will once again be held in person, with various venues: the PUCP Cultural Center, the NOS PUCP Complex, Cineplanet Alcázar, at the Cine Lumière of the Alianza Francesa in Lima and the Armando Robles Godoy Hall of the Ministry of Culture. From Peru.

Initially, so that more people can see national productions, it was announced that these could also be seen through streaming. However, over the weekend, the organization of the event indicated a change and the cancellation of this alternative.

“For reasons of force majeure, we have been forced to withdraw the Peruvian films on the virtual platform of the 27th PUCP Lima Film Festival. We are very sorry for what this change may cause. We invite you to see them in person. The users who have made the purchase and have not been able to view the films, will be able to access the return of their money by writing to [email protected] ”, said the festival statement.

All the Peruvian films in competition were going to be seen virtually throughout the national territory.

These are the movies that can no longer be seen in streaming, but can be seen in movie theaters:

Director: Gonzalo Ladines.

Synopsis: Javi Fuentes is the most famous talk show host in the country and makes a living making fun of others. When his father passes away, Javi loses his sense of humor and is replaced by an insufferable influencer. To get the program back from him, Javi decides to hire a rehabilitated alcoholic who will try to teach him to laugh at himself before others.

  • “The most feared skin”

Synopsis: Alejandra returns to Peru. More than 20 years ago, she and her mother left the country.
