Colombian singer Juaneswhose concert scheduled this Saturday in Mérida (west) was canceled due to the rain, wanted to compensate and surprise his followers by performing three songs outside the hotel where he was staying.
After the suspension of the concert, part of the STONE & MUSIC Festival in Mérida, many people who had their tickets decided to go to the hotel where the Colombian singer was staying to try to see him, get an autograph or take a photo.
The surprise of those present has jumped when Juanes has left the hotel and, after standing in front of the door, has begun to sing. “Great, you are very great”, some people have chanted as soon as they see it outside the hotel establishment, located in the Plaza de España.
“It’s a great detail of your part”said a young Basque, disappointed at first by “such a long trip for nothing”, but “immensely grateful” for the “great detail” of her idol.
Juanes, accompanied by a member of his band, has sung “La camisa negra”, “A Dios le pido” and “Es por ti” to the surprise of the hundred people who crowded in front of the hotel, who at all times have chanted the songs.
The downpour of water that fell in the capital of Extremadura forced the organization of the festival to suspend the concert scheduled for ten fifteen at night at the Roman Theatre.
In the middle of the afternoon, a storm began to unload on Mérida in which, according to Aemet records, some 50 liters per square meter were collected, which caused the flooding of the entrances to the theater and the orchestra, “making it impossible for the development of the concert”.
The organization of the STONE & MUSIC Festival, after meeting with the members of the security plan, chose to adopt this decision to preserve the safety of the attendees, the equipment and the monument itself.
