“Joaquina and her happy world”, a work that marks Hugo Salazar’s debut in children’s theater

Written and directed by Paul Martin, “Joaquina and her happy world” is presented at the Teatro de Lucía, a musical for the whole family. This piece touches on important themes such as caring for the environment and love for animals.

The staging tells the story of Joaquina, who finds a beautiful dog abandoned on the street and names him Mozart. “The Singer of a Thousand Instruments” could find him a home, but Igor, a bitter man who can’t stand animals, will try to prevent it. Together they will embark on a journey and discover how important it is to care for the planet and all its inhabitants.

This family show, with musical themes composed by Paul Martin, seeks to reach the message of the play, especially to children.

“Theatre and music are excellent vehicles for entertainment. And if we add to this important themes, such as caring for the planet, and caring for and respecting animals, it gives us a work with extraordinary potential for the community, especially for the youngest.”says Martin.

“Joaquina and her brave new world” It features the performances of Giuliana Muente (Joaquina), Francisco Luna (Cantor), Astrid Villavicencio (Mozart), Jaime Cruz and Rafael Ferrero (both as Nacho) and Hugo Salazar (Igor), who makes his debut in children’s theater.
