“Muerto de laughter”, a film starring César Ritter and Gisela Ponce de León, presents its official trailer

The movie “Died laughing”, directed by filmmaker Gonzalo Ladines and starring César Ritter and Gisela Ponce de León, presented its first official trailer. The feature film will premiere on January 4, 2024 in all cinemas in the country.

This dramatic comedy, headed by renowned actors César Ritter and Gisela Ponce de León, is directed by Gonzalo Ladines, who is remembered for his work in the films “Los cinéfilos” (2013) and “Como en el cine” (2015).

The film features the participation of an outstanding cast made up of Giselle Collao, Daniel Menacho, Job Mansilla, Gianfranco Brero, Hernán Romero and Gabriela Velásquez. They are joined by a large repertoire of comedians, including Marcela Luna (“El Reventonazo de La Chola”) and Hectod (from the “NN” podcast).

As if that were not enough, the film marks the acting reunion between César Ritter and Giselle Collao, from their remembered characters “Lalo, La Locura” and “Lucía” from the series Mil Oficios.

“Muerto de laughter” has received various awards, including the 2018 Fiction Feature Film Production Award from the Ministry of Culture, for being “an ingenious reflection on comedy, humor and life.”

It was also selected for the Lima Film Festival, where it filled theaters and won the affection of the public. Let us remember that part of the work was financed by fans, through crowdfunding and has the support of various private companies.

The film centers on Javi Fuentes (played by César Ritter), who is the host of the most famous talk show in the country, and makes a living by making fun of others. When his father dies, Javi loses his sense of humor and is replaced by an unbearable influencer. To get his show back, Javi decides to hire Alfonsina (Gisela Ponce de León), a comedian who will try to teach him to laugh at himself before others.
