“Mensaje de Amor”, the iconic Amazonian cumbia album, will be reissued on vinyl after 36 years of its release

It was the 70s when a group was formed with the idea of creating a sound of the future. This is how the now legendary group Sonido 2000 was born in Tarapoto, which they released with the label Infopesa themes that made them a fundamental part of Amazonian cumbia.

The album “Mensaje de amor”, published in 1987, was one of the most important in his career, as it included songs like “Mi cariñito”. Furthermore, it left clear proof of the fusion of rock and cumbia that marked the style of Sonido 2000.

Tulio Trigozo Reátegui, band leader and very talented guitarist, liked to listen to the works of Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix and Carlos Santana, so he was very inspired by their sound.

Today, almost fifty years have passed since Sonido 2000 began its career, the notable work that Tulio Trigozo Reátegui did with the musicians Reimer Saavedra (vocals), Richard Reátegui (keyboards), Modesto Fasanando (electronic bass), Johnny Paredes (timbales) and Abner Carbajal (choirs) will have a rebirth.
