The most important French indie band returns to Peru to perform at concert this March 20 in the amphitheater of the Exhibition Park. This, with a new album under their belt ‘Alpha Zulu’, with which they seek to remember why they became references in indie rock.
This is their seventh album, since the band appeared in 2002, made up of Thomas Mars, Deck d’Arcy, Laurent Brancowitz and Christian Mazzalai. According to them, it focuses on delivering a collection of intentions, perspectives and, above all, styles. They also specified that they use music as a vehicle to return a little to their roots and gain the momentum they seemed to have lost after the publication of the successful ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ (2009) and its sequel, ‘Bankrupt!’ (2013).
In an interview with the Mexican magazine, Marvin, the band expressed that on this album they let their emotions flow
“Taking into account that it was made during the pandemic, I think it is a very happy album, but you can still perceive a certain melancholy, we really have no control over that. The main thing is that we found a new studio, and it’s the best in the world! It is in the Museum of Decorative Arts of the Louvre Palace, in Paris. It’s a small room, we manage to fit our equipment and write songs almost every day. “It was nice to create that routine.”said Laurent Brancowitz, guitarist of the group.
Veltrac Music, the production company in charge of the concert, confirmed that the sale of tickets will be from the Joinnus platform.
Ticket sales start this Friday, December 8, from 9 am. and there will be a special discount with Interbank cards.
The band Phoenix arrived in Peru for the first time in 2017. The organization points out that the concert is Suitable for minors from 12 years old, but they must be accompanied by a responsible adult with their ticket.
