Pedro Suárez Vértiz passed away: Artists say goodbye to the singer with emotional messages

The Peruvian music scene is in mourning after confirming the sensitive death of Pedro Suarez Vertiz, at 54 years old, after a long fight against muscular atrophy. The news of his death has generated various reactions on social networks, including messages of condolences from his friends and colleagues.

One of the first to share an extensive anecdote with the musician was his friend Beto Ortiz, who recalled that they studied together at the University of Lima. Furthermore, he revealed that many of his songs were part of the soundtrack of his life.

“I interviewed him many times and every time he came to the program I was left with the feeling that an extraterrestrial had just visited me, a being that thought on another frequency, that lived in another dimension because his mind traveled very far away, because without a doubt he saw things that “The common mortals did not see and, what is more amazing, he said them with absolute naturalness, he said them just like someone who says hello, how are you, how are you doing?” he wrote in his extensive post.

For their part, music colleagues were also present on social networks to say goodbye to the author of “A wine, a beer”, “Lo ovidé” and “Los globos del cielo”. Lucho Quequezana and Jhovan wrote heartfelt messages on their social networks.

“National music is in mourning, Pedro Suarez Vertiz passed away. He leaves us the sound of an entire generation. Rest in peace Pedro,” Quequezana wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“I will always remember Pedro as a great storyteller and a tireless fighter for music. His work was and is an important basis for the national rock scene, and today many of us continue that path,” Jhovan posted on his Facebook.

Likewise, actors who shared with Pedro Suárez Vértiz also dedicated emotional tributes on their social networks, such as Andrés Wiese and Paul Martin.
