He Out of the Box Festivalorganized by students of the specialty of Creation and Performing Production of the Faculty of Performing Arts of the PUCP, confirmed its 23rd edition starting next Wednesday, January 17, starting at 6:30 pm at the PUCP Cultural Center.
In the 2024 edition, the programming includes proposals from new artists and researchers in theater, music and dance. The performances will range from contemporary dance, performance, plays, performative conferences (Bitacora program), to other activities.
This new edition of the Festival will open with two innovative stage proposals: “Bocetos de Lila”, an interdisciplinary improvisation performance with live music and “Mucho de Nada”, contemporary dance. The activities can be enjoyed on Wednesday, January 17 from 6:30 pm
Among the works to be presented are “Entretejer-me” (Sofía Cuadros), “Always ×never× ever: or a nobody’s doll playing alone” (Fernanda Mía), “Now we live at the same time” (Kelly Esquerre), “ What if I better dedicate myself to something else?” (Eduardo Ríos), “Dreaming in a garden of octopuses” (Karen Vivero) and “Manco: scenic concert” (Gerson Borja).
In addition, within the programming there is Bitácora, performative conferences that aim to generate a space for exchange and reflection, artistic and academic, around research in performing arts from the experience of students of the last cycle.
Finally, for the closing date of the Festival, the musical ensemble Piel de Cherry and Latin Groove will be present. These activities will take place on Sunday, February 4 at 7:30 pm Free entry, limited capacity.
Tickets are on sale at https://ccpucpencasa.com/ and at the Theater box office. General admission is S/25 and admission for students, performing artists, seniors and performing teachers is S/15.
