Lenin Tamayo is named “visionary Q-Pop artist” by Rolling Stone magazine

The prestigious magazine Rolling Stone highlighted the Peruvian singer-songwriter Lenin Tamayoself-proclaimed creator of Q-Pop, as a visionary artist from Peru.

In this way, the magazine, known for recognizing and supporting outstanding talents in the music industry, has highlighted the impact and innovation of the creator of Q-Pop on the international scene.

“Since her debut in 2019, she has woven the theatricality of K-pop with ancestral poetry and the teachings of the Quechua indigenous people,” Rolling Stone wrote on its website.

“It is very exciting to know that my music and my Q-Pop (Quechua pop) project have been recognized by Rolling Stone magazine, taking into account the context in which my music and my latest album AMARU comes out”said.

Therefore, regarding the internationalization of his talent, the musician commented that despite having had many opportunities abroad, he prefers to take it step by step and promises to continue working as he did in the beginning.

“This first year of my career was crazy, everything feels unreal, but I try to stay loyal to my dreams and convictions,” he told El Comercio.

Later he added: “Regarding the internationalization of my career, it seems to be something natural in my music. I try not to digress so much about the possibilities that are opening up for this year, but what I can attest to is that I will continue working like that first TikTok.”.
