An inexpensive recipe for tuna torrejitas with the perfect flavor

Today I encourage you to prepare these delicious, very practical and, above all, very cheap tuna torrejitas that can get you out of a hurry. The best of this recipe is that you can incorporate the supplies you have on hand.

Follow these simple steps:

  • 1 can of tuna
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour or oatmeal
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 bell pepper in squares
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Separate the whites from the egg yolk, which are at room temperature. Beat the egg whites with the salt and pepper until the whites are frothy. Then add the yolks one by one. Then, add flour, tuna (without liquid) and the vegetables that were chosen to use, in my case I use minced onion and pepper, but you could add Chinese onion, grated raw carrot, peas and much more! You can chop and add chopped parsley to give it a different taste. Once all the ingredients have been integrated and mixed correctly, fry the torrejitas in hot oil at low heat so that they brown on both sides. Try to place your fry on absorbent paper to remove excess fat. Accompany these delicious torrejitas with a good salad, rice, boiled potatoes, vegetables at value or the accompaniment that your family likes the most.
