Victor Manuelle manages to sing with Frankie Ruiz thanks to technology

Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Victor Manuelle This Friday he published a new single, ‘Otra noche más’, in which, thanks to technology, he joins the iconic salsero Frankie Ruiz, with the integration of fragments of the song ‘Deseitamos’.

“For me to have achieved this collaboration is a dream, any singer of the salsa genre would have loved to do a song with Frankie Ruiz”who died in 1998, Víctor Manuelle said in a statement.

“Not being physically with us, hearing his voice makes the song more nostalgic and sentimental for me, every time I hear it I get very emotional. Thanks to technology, we were able to achieve something that seemed impossible,” he added.

‘Another night’ is now available on all digital platforms and is the first single from Víctor Manuelle’s next album, which will be called ‘Retromántico’.

The song was composed by the salsa singer and has a musical arrangement by Junito Dávila, with the aim of emulating the sound that characterizes the romantic salsa of the 1990s.

“I had to rack my brain writing a song that had the theme and allowed the melody to flow so that in the part where Frankie’s voice enters, with the hook of one of his most emblematic songs and my favorite, it seemed like the same song. . I understand that it was achieved”commented the singer.

The music video for the song was filmed in Medellín (Colombia) and tells the story of two people who are no longer together but who still miss and desire each other, although both are in another relationship.

Frankie Ruiz (1958-1998), an American of Puerto Rican descent, is one of the greatest exponents of salsa, especially romantic salsa.

“The estate and family of Frankie Ruiz is honored to support and be part of Víctor Manuelle’s new release. “Seeing that Frankie Ruiz’s music continues to inspire new songs is incredible,” indicated his son, Frankie Ruiz, Jr.

In addition, Víctor Manuelle is presenting his ‘Retromántico’ concert tour, which will take him to Chile, Colombia, Canada and the United States.
