Olivia Rodrigo reissues her album “Guts” in deluxe version with new material

‘Guts’, from the American Olivia Rodrigoone of the most critically and publicly applauded albums of 2023 and the star of one of the great tours of 2024, was reissued this Friday in a ‘deluxe’ version under the title ‘Guts (spilled)’ and with five new songs.

The first version of ‘Guts’, which reached number 1 in the US and was nominated for three Grammys in its last edition, took over in the market from this young artist’s well-known debut, ‘Sour’ (2021), which was already a commercial and critical success, after obtaining three golden gramophones.

The new version of the album includes, according to its record company, cuts that had mostly been included as hidden tracks in various special editions of the original album in its vinyl format, brought together for the first time along with the rest of the already known material.

These are ‘girl I’ve always been’, ‘scared of my guitar’ and ‘stranger’, the unreleased ‘so american’ and ‘obsessed’, which Rodrigo composed with Annie Clark, better known by her artistic alias St Vincent, and Daniel Nigro, producer of his two albums on the market.

Of this song, performed in all the concerts of the tour, a video clip directed by Mitch Ryan, the same as Rosalía’s ‘Despechá’, was released in parallel this Friday.

Olivia Rodrigo is currently embarking on a 75-date tour that, after North America, will stop in Europe, where she will offer two sold-out concerts in Spain (on June 18 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and, two days later, in the Wizink Center in Madrid).
