Juanes and Nelly Furtado sing together after 20 years: This is how the new song that “Gala and Dalí released” sounds like

A new musical premiere. The singers Juanes and Nelly Furtado They came together again to sing about love, this time in a song called “Gala and Dalí”, inspired by the romance of the painter Salvador Dalí and his wife, the artist Gala Dalí.

More than 20 years after releasing the musical hit “Fotografía”, the performers gave life to a new piece of music, which was finally premiered this Friday, March 29 on all musical platforms.

The song was produced by Andrés Torres, Mauricio Rengifo and Sebastian Krys. In his verses he addresses the theme of love that endures despite time.

“If you knew what my soul feels / Every time I think of you / If you knew how I lose my calm / Every time I think of you”says the song in its first verse.

“Gala y Dalí” was accompanied by a video that lasts 3 minutes, where you can see Juanes and Furtado perform the song and remember old experiences in the recording of their first collaboration, back in 2002.

“How crazy and young. This was about 22 or 23 years ago, and we are singing our song “Fotografía” at the Alma Awards. We hadn’t seen each other since Nashville, so We were excited to be there.Furtado said while holding a photo of both of them.

A few weeks ago, Juanes said about the new song he recorded with Nelly: “In this song, Nelly takes me to a place of joy and light, where I could give myself the opportunity to get out of my soundfrom what I play on the guitar, to go for a more Caribbean sound, so to speak, more danceable, which Nelly also wanted to have in this song.”
