Juan Luis Guerra releases the original soundtrack of “Capitán Avispa”

The Dominican musician, composer, singer and producer Juan Luis Guerra This April 5, he will release the soundtrack of his first animated film “Captain Wasp,” a work that includes 41 original tracks composed and arranged by the artist, who is also the creator of the story.

Among the featured songs on ´Capitan Avispa Original Motion Soundtrack´ are ´Señorita´, ´La Gallera´, main themes by Captain Avispa and Jack Puazón, as well as the central theme ´Mi Amor´, performed by artists Luis Fonsi and Joy Huerta .

It also includes the lively and fun song ‘El baile de los Zánganos’ and a modern version of ‘Las Avispas’ to the rhythm of Reggae, Guerra’s representation team reported this Thursday in a statement.

“It was a beautiful dream to compose and arrange the music for Captain Wasp. We assumed it with great expectations and entered the studio with some preconceived ideas. Others emerged while we were watching the animations and we made some changes by sharing ideas with the directors.”stated the artist.

The musical production, by Guerra himself and Janina Rosado, took almost six years of work and “the result filled our hearts with joy,” he stated.

The recording and mixing was carried out by Allan Lescchorn and Luis Mansilla in Santo Domingo (´Señorita, La Gallera´ and ´Avispas Reggae´) and the mastering was done by Adam Ayan at Ayan Mastering, Portland, Maine, United States.

On April 1st, the premiere of the film took place in Santo Domingo with the presence of some of the characters’ voices, including Juan Luis Guerra, Luis Fonsi, Joy Huerta, Juanes, Karen Martinez, Roger Zayas, Adalgisa Pantaleón, among others. others.

The film is expected to be historic for animated cinema in the Dominican Republic due to its great impact and for being filmed exclusively in the Caribbean country.

“Captain Wasp”, directed by Jean Guerra and Jonnathan Meléndez, has already broken a historical record by being the Dominican film with the most tickets purchased in pre-sale by the public who will be able to enjoy this production starting this Thursday in the main cinemas of the Dominican Republic .

In the coming weeks the film will be released in more than 34 countries under the international distribution of “Caribbean Films Distributions”.
