Luces Awards 2023: Who was the nominee with the most votes? How much does the trophy weigh? And more

As in life itself, the gala night of the Lights Awards 2023 was made of moments. And those moments are the ones that move us, the ones that will remain in our memory, and will surely become endearing and unforgettable anecdotes.

Moments like that of Regina Alcóver, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award, telling her granddaughter Abril Zignago from the stage that one day she too will win an award like hers. Moments like that of Cynthia Martínez, wife of Pedro Suárez Vértiz, receiving the posthumous award from her husband; or that of the editor Ana María Vidal and her heartfelt words for the writer Julia Wong, another winner who left us too soon, just a few weeks ago.

It was also a night of humorous moments, such as Gustavo Bueno, winner of the award for Best Film Actor for the film “The Erection of Toribio Bardelli,” who made a confession that reminded us of his character from “The City and the Dogs.” ”: “This is the first movie I’ve ever appeared in!”. And Jaime Bayly, of course, thanking him for his award for Best Novel. “Many thanks to the readers of El Comercio for choosing ‘The Geniuses’,” he said in absentia, through a video. Surely they were wrong. There were better novels in this category”.

And so more moments, which followed one after another until the climax of the night in which all the winners took the stage for the obligatory photo: writers and TV stars, musicians and actresses, art curators and sports journalists .
