The Lima theater is preparing to welcome back one of its most notable artists Bruno Odar, who returns to the Nuevo Teatro Julieta with “The Matter of Dreams”a one-man show directed and starring by himself, with an original text by Chilean playwright Julio Pincheira Parra.
In this work, Odar immerses us in a deep reflection on the condition of women and the enduring influence of William Shakespeare on the social system over the last four centuries. On a minimalist stage, the actor takes us on a journey through the feminine archetypes created by Shakespeare, questioning their impact on contemporary society.
With a mix of irony and tragedy, Odar invites us to reflect on current and taboo topics, such as the condition of women, globalization, consumerism, and political and social chaos in the 21st century. Through an intense performance, the actor immerses us in a universe where the past and present intertwine, offering a critical and provocative look at our contemporary reality.
“The Matter of Dreams” will be presented in only two performances, on May 28 and 29 at 8:00 pm at the Nuevo Teatro Julieta, located at Pasaje Porta 132, Miraflores. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness a work that challenges conventions and stimulates reflection on fundamental issues of our society. Pre-sale tickets available at Joinnus.
