The Peruvian feature film “Hogar”, by the director Jano Burmester, will premiere on May 2, at the Babylon cinema, in Berlin, Germany. The film distributed by Latin Quarter will arrive in the European city three days after its debut in the official competition of the Paris Cinéma Péruvien Festival.
Furthermore, the film was very well received in Peru, where it was premiered at the Lima Film Festival, and was part of the Official Selection of the Lima Alterna, FECIT, U. de Lima festivals, among others.
“Home” is an intimate film that tells the story of director Jano Burmester, whose life changes forever at just 13 years old due to a devastating car accident that steals his memory. In the quest to recover his identity, he embarks on a journey into the depths of her heart and his family history.
Jano searches for clues among loved ones and cherished memories from Peru to the Netherlands and Germany, revealing hidden truths and untold stories. A journey in which she searches not only for lost fragments of her past, but also for the essence of who she really is, in a moving story of self-discovery, migration, love and the enduring power of family and memory.
The premiere, which will be in Spanish with English subtitles; It will have the exclusive presence of its director, Jano Burmester, who will arrive in the city of Berlin to present the feature film and talk to the audience.
