Enzo Vogrincic (Montevideo, Uruguay, 1993), a rising actor, went from the shadows of the theater and small roles on television and in film, to the light of fame with “The Snow Society”. Since Juan Antonio Bayona’s ambitious production of the Miracle of the Andes premiered to a loud ovation at the 2023 Venice Film Festival, the life of Uruguayan actor Enzo Vogrincic has changed, both professionally and personally. Despite this, he maintains that his essence remains unchanged.

“When I return home and meet my friends, I immediately realize that everything is in its place. That leaves me calm. It changed on a professional level and on an internal and spiritual level, but the essential aspects in me did not change.”, clarifies the actor, whom we interviewed in Xcaret-Riviera Maya.

Vogrincic realized the magnitude of his fame when he entered a movie theater in Spain and 900 people burst into screams when they saw him. His notable shyness and affinity for his loneliness have led him to be equated with Keanu Reeves, a comparison that, he claims, completely flatters him, since he admires the Canadian actor. “It is a spectacular compliment because I have it in a very special place. ‘The Matrix’ is one of my favorite movies thanks to him”, he assures.

“I lived an experience of such a profound character where physical effort is also involved, I struggled to reduce anxiety and calm down. Not only are you acting on the set, but it also becomes yours because it is your body that is at stake, that takes you to another dimension and more because you give life to a real person who died“, Explain.

What’s coming

Half a year after the start of this maelstrom of fame, Enzo is ready to face a new acting challenge, however he is in no rush to act again. While he calmly waits for a proposal to come to him that will shake him again, he ventured into composing music for plays and is working on an experimental theater project. He is also writing a memoir about “this delusional process” that he has been “The Snow Society”.
