Disney releases the first official trailer for ‘Moana 2’: Find out what it is about and the release date of the sequel

Disney Studios released the first official trailer for ‘Moana 2’a film that will be released on November 28, 2024. This trailer does not reveal too much about the plot, but it does make it clear that it will bring back several characters that made the original 2016 feature film so successful.

The story will reunite Moana (played again by Auliʻi Cravalho) with Maui (the demigod played by Dwayne Johnson) for a new and extensive journey with a crew of unique sailors.

In this new journey, the protagonist will receive an unexpected call from her ancestors who will take her to explore the distant seas of Oceania and dangerous, long-unexplored waters.

The sequel, directed by David G. Derrick Jr., will premiere in Latin American theaters on November 28, while the day before it will arrive in the United States and Canada.

The first Moana movie is available on the Disney+ platform. It shows the origin story of this teenager from the South Pacific Islands who crosses the ocean and explores the world to demonstrate her bravery to her family. On this journey she will meet someone who was a powerful demigod in the past and they establish a great friendship.
