The highly prestigious Gotham Awards, which are often indicative of a trend for the Golden Globes and the Oscars, have released the list of nominations. Some of the year’s most successful movies and series, like The Green Knight, Where Titanium, Palme d’Or in Cannes, are obviously named.
But in the Best Performance category in a new series (the Gotham Awards ended gender categories), we find the star of Lupin !
An honor
On his Twitter account, Omar Sy expressed his surprise but also his joy at this appointment. “I am honored to have been appointed. Thanks to the Gotham Awards, ”he shared on Twitter, before relaying the information several times in his Instagram stories.
For the award ceremony, the French actor will compete with Jennifer Coolidge for White Lotus, Ethan Hawke for The Good Lord Bird, Lee Jung-jae for Squid Game, or Anya Taylor-Joy, also nominated for a Netflix series, with The Lady’s Game.
The Gotham Awards ceremony will take place in New York on November 29.
