“Belle”: Watch the official trailer for Mamoru Hosoda’s new movie

Revealed the trailer and a poster for “Belle”, the tenth film by Japanese animator Mamoru Hosoda, who has received an award for the film “The Boy and the Beast.” The new film will be released in theaters in Peru in January 2022.

The film stars Suzu, a 17-year-old girl who, after losing her mother, moves to live with her father on the outskirts of Kochi Prefecture. Heartbroken and estranged from the world, she discovers “U”, a virtual space in which she assumes the role of Belle.

The idea for the story grew out of the fears of Mamoru Hosoda about what the teenage years might bring to his own daughter. It is the story of the first and tentative steps into the world of a shy and self-aware adolescence who, through the virtual world, will discover their true self.
